Description
The Rab Expedition 1000 (QSM-27) is the gateway to Rab's expedition range, designed to offer real thermal protection in extreme cold conditions with a somewhat more optimized focus on weight and volume.
It is intended for high-mountain expeditions, winter traverses, and environments where temperatures can drop below -30°C, but where every gram counts.
Real Technical Performance
Its filling of 1000 g of 850FP European goose down with Nikwax hydrophobic treatment provides excellent thermal capacity while maintaining a good balance between weight and performance.
The Pertex® Quantum Pro outer fabric protects against wind and moisture, while the construction with longitudinal baffles, trapezoidal chambers, and Flowgate™ technology ensures uniform heat distribution and minimizes down migration.
The design allows for the use of expedition clothing inside, improving thermal performance in real conditions.

It is designed for those who need performance in extreme cold but seek to optimize weight as much as possible on expeditions.
Recommended Use
- High-mountain expeditions
- Conditions below -25°C
- Demanding winter traverses
Is it for you?
