Sustainability at Rab: current data and commitments
Technical performance and reducing environmental impact are part of Rab's current strategy. This page summarizes the data published by the brand in its 2026 Impact Report and its Material Facts sheets, so that you can better understand what lies behind their materials, processes, and commitments.
RDS Down: traceability and animal welfare
All down sourced from farms that enters Rab's supply chain is certified under the Responsible Down Standard (RDS). This standard verifies animal welfare requirements and enables the traceability of the down to be tracked from the source to the final product.
Rab also uses recycled down. According to its 2026 impact information, it has recovered and reused 254 kg of down through its collection program since 2021.
More recycled materials
Rab reports that in 2025, 82% of the fabric purchased was recycled and 71% of the down purchased was recycled. The brand also publishes Material Facts tables on its products to quantitatively show recycled content, the presence of PFAS, and other manufacturing data.
PFAS: new products without intentionally added PFAS
Rab states that, since 2025, 100% of its new products are manufactured without intentionally added PFAS. This data is also reflected in the Material Facts tables of current products.
Climate targets verified by SBTi
Rab's emissions reduction targets were verified by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) in 2024. The brand is committed to:
- Reducing absolute scope 1 and 2 emissions by 46% by 2030, using 2019 as the base year.
- Reducing absolute scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions by 90% by 2050, also relative to 2019.
In 2025, 76% of Rab's production volume was carried out in factories that used renewable energy.
Fair Wear and manufacturing conditions
Rab has been a member of Fair Wear since 2020, and the brand itself reports that it has maintained its Leader status since 2022. Additionally, it requires social audits from its strategic manufacturing partners and publishes data on its facilities and production conditions.
B Corp and corporate responsibility
Rab is part of Equip Outdoor Technologies and is currently a certified B Corporation. The certification evaluates aspects of social and environmental performance, transparency, and corporate accountability.
Durability, repair, and circularity
Product lifespan is also part of the impact reduction strategy. Rab's Service Centre repaired and washed more than 24,000 products during 2025, extending their use and reducing the need for premature replacement.
