Description

The Rab Neutrino -6C / 20F Wmns is a women's specific down sleeping bag designed for lightweight mountaineering, high-altitude trekking, and expeditions where every gram counts, but without sacrificing serious thermal protection. Within the Neutrino family, it represents a very solid balance between warmth, compressibility, and real-world mountain use.

Its 800FP European goose down fill, L.O.F.T. 3D™ construction, and strategic use of Pertex® Quantum and Pertex® Quantum Pro fabrics allow for a highly compact, technically advanced sleeping bag ready for cold conditions in long three-season use or alpine environments in spring and autumn.

Real Technical Performance

The Neutrino -6C Wmns is designed for fast-paced mountain travel with a light pack, where volume and weight are as important as the ability to retain warmth during cold nights. The L.O.F.T. 3D™ construction uses helical baffles to minimize cold spots and improve down stability, while longitudinal baffles in the torso increase thermal efficiency in the body's core area.

The base and footrest incorporate 20D Pertex® Quantum Pro for added durability and moisture protection in the most exposed areas, while the 10D Pertex® Quantum fabric on the upper promotes loft and reduces weight. The women's specific pattern helps optimize internal volume and improve thermal efficiency without creating excessive dead space.

Comparison within the Range

Compared to the Neutrino 0C, this model adds a clear boost in thermal security for colder nights and alpine ascents in shoulder seasons. Compared to the Neutrino -12C Wmns, it maintains a more versatile and less extreme proposition, with a better balance for trekking and technical mountaineering without overloading the pack.

Compared to the Mythic Ultra range, the Neutrino prioritizes a more robust combination of durability, protection, and versatility. Compared to a synthetic bag like the Radeon, it offers better compressibility and a superior warmth-to-weight ratio, although it requires slightly more careful use in persistently damp environments.

Recommended Use

  • Alpine trekking and mid to high-mountain traverses
  • Bivouacs and camps in spring, autumn, and summer at altitude
  • Lightweight mountaineering where reducing weight and volume is important
  • Users looking for a serious and versatile down bag within the Rab technical range

Is it for you?

Yes, if you are looking for a women's technical down sleeping bag with a very good warmth, weight, and compressibility ratio. Yes, if you hike with a backpack and need a reliable model for cold nights without jumping to a clearly winter bag. No, if your priority is carefree use in damp environments or highly variable campsites; in that case, a synthetic option might be a better fit. No, if you need maximum insulation for severe winter conditions, where it is advisable to upgrade to a warmer Neutrino.
