Description
The Rab Neutrino 0C / 32F is a lightweight and highly compressible down sleeping bag, designed for summer mountaineering, alpine trekking, and multi-day trips where weight and volume make a difference. Within the Neutrino family, it is the entry point to a clearly technical offering, designed for those who want maximum warmth-to-weight efficiency without carrying an oversized bag.
Its 800FP European goose down fill, L.O.F.T. 3D™ construction, and the combined use of Pertex® Quantum and Pertex® Quantum Pro fabrics allow it to offer a very light, packable bag perfectly suited for three-season mountain trips in mild to cool conditions.
Real Technical Performance
The Neutrino 0C is designed for fast-paced movement and efficient sleeping at altitude during spring, summer, and early autumn. The L.O.F.T. 3D™ construction uses helical baffles that reduce down migration and minimize cold spots, while longitudinal baffles in the torso improve thermal retention in the core body area.
Rab reinforces the base and footbox with 20D Pertex® Quantum Pro, providing greater durability and better resistance to moisture and abrasion in the most exposed areas. On the upper part, 10D Pertex® Quantum prioritizes loft, lightness, and compressibility. The result is a bag clearly oriented towards real technical performance in the mountains, not generic camping.

Comparison within the range
Compared to the Neutrino -6C, this model reduces weight and volume to offer a faster and lighter option in less cold conditions. Compared to the Mythic Ultra 0C, it maintains a slightly more robust and versatile proposal, with a very solid balance between technicality, durability, and compressibility.
Compared to a synthetic bag like the Radeon 0C, the Neutrino 0C offers a better warmth-to-weight ratio and less volume in a backpack, making it a better fit for alpine trekking and trips where every gram counts. In return, it requires a little more care in persistently wet environments.
Recommended Use
- Alpine trekking, hut-to-hut traverses, and lightweight bivouacs
- Three-season mountaineering in mild to cool conditions
- Summer ascents where weight and volume are priorities
- Users looking for a technical and versatile down bag for non-winter high-altitude mountaineering
Is it for you?
Yes, if you are looking for a lightweight and technical down sleeping bag for alpine trekking, bivouacs, and three-season mountaineering. Yes, if you prioritize compressibility and low weight over more bulky solutions. No, if your primary use will be wet camping or very variable conditions where a synthetic offers more peace of mind. No, if you need a significantly higher thermal reserve for really cold nights; in that case, it is advisable to upgrade to the Neutrino -6C or -12C.
