🏔️ Description

The Rab Hyperon 80 is an 80-liter backpack for multi-day trekking and expedition approaches with a considerable load. The V-TRAX™ carrying system, extendable hip belt, and front and bottom access points allow you to organize your gear and adjust the carry during long days.

⭐ Mountain Group Review

Its 80-liter capacity makes sense when the volume of your gear, food, or self-sufficiency needs exceeds that of a conventional trekking backpack. It is best to reserve this capacity for routes that truly require it. Before deciding, the fit of the back and belt should take priority over capacity.

⚡ Real Technical Performance

The hook-and-loop back adjustment of the V-TRAX™ system allows for fine-tuning the harness position. The hip belt features dual-pivot fins and a load-transfer stabilizer bar. Internal and external compression straps help stabilize the contents as the backpack's volume changes.

The front and bottom access points prevent the need to empty the pack to reach gear at the bottom. The internal divider allows for organizing compartments according to the route.

  • Long-distance routes with gear and supplies.
  • Transporting gear on expedition approaches.

✅ Is it for you?

It is a good fit if you need to transport a multi-day load and value the ability to adjust the carry and access content from different points. For a day trip with minimal gear, a lower-volume pack will be more appropriate.

❓ FAQ

Does the rain cover make the backpack waterproof?

No. The cover is external protection against rain. For items that must remain dry, organize the interior using dry bags.

What is the difference between the standard and ND versions?

ND identifies a narrower fit. The choice depends on how the carrying system adapts to your body, not just the capacity.
