Designed for lightweight ascents and to help you reduce gear on remote multi-day expeditions, the Kinetic Alpine 2.0 is a versatile, highly elastic and waterproof shell for hikers, climbers and mountaineers.
It uses soft and silent waterproof Proflex™ fabric with a breathable waterproof membrane, 100% recycled outer fabric and a fast-wicking backing to move moisture during high-energy ascents. Reinforced panels on the hip, arm, shoulders and hood protect against abrasion and exposure from technical and tough climbs. Designed with a tighter fit than a traditional shell, its flexible construction is combined with a range of high-spec features.
For all-day dryness, comfort and mobility, it features AquaGuard® water-resistant zippers, a helmet-compatible hood, and easy adjustment at the hood, hem, and cuffs. Durable yet flexible, waterproof yet breathable, this is the ultimate 'soft' hardshell for committed alpine adventures.

In a 'non-breathable' garment, there is no way for this moisture to escape. It accumulates on the skin and fabric as condensation.
Trapped inside the jacket, this moisture acts as a thermal conductor. It transfers heat from your body almost 25 times faster than dry clothing. This feels very uncomfortable, chilling, and in extreme environments can lead to hypothermia.
