Rab Generator

PRIMALOFT GOLD CROSS CORE AND PERTEX 3D DIAMOND FUSE

Designed for climbing, winter mountaineering, and all cold-weather adventures, the new Rab Generator is highly insulating and weather-resistant, especially when the elements are at their worst.

Having spent decades in challenging and chilling conditions, we know that synthetic insulation provides unparalleled warmth in wet climates. That's why we've strategically body-mapped two weights of PrimaLoft® Gold Insulation with Cross Core™ technology to provide maximum warmth where you need it most.

PrimaLoft® fibers are impregnated with Aerogel, an ultra-low density material composed of 95% air, originally designed to insulate space shuttles.

We've combined this highly effective insulation with a highly durable, abrasion-resistant, and weather-resistant Pertex® Quantum Pro Diamond Fuse fabric exterior, made from diamond-shaped filaments that seamlessly interlock to create a snag-resistant flat surface. The Generator Alpine jacket offers unparalleled protection against the wildest storms in the roughest terrains.

The new Rab Generator Alpine features a two-way front zipper with an oversized puller ideal for use with gloves, an adjustable helmet-compatible hood with a stiff visor, oversized cuffs to accommodate bulky winter gloves, an internal pocket for storing gloves, and tactically placed hand pockets that are harness-compatible.

It has articulated sleeves to allow for a full range of motion and a drawcord hem to adjust the fit.

PrimaLoft Gold Insulation Cross Core Technology

PrimaLoft, a global leader in advanced material technology, is increasing the use of post-consumer recycled content in its high-performance PrimaLoft Cross Core series, which now includes the elastic version used in the Rab Generator to achieve maximum freedom of movement.

The Cross Core platform merges existing PrimaLoft fibers with next-generation materials. The initial line of products uses aerogel, a lightweight, highly porous structure originally developed by NASA scientists and which acts as one of the world's best insulators.

As of 2021, products in the Cross Core series will contain up to 90 percent post-consumer recycled plastic content, while maintaining their caloric performance attributes that make it the industry leader.

Pertex Diamond Fuse Fabric Technology

Pertex® Diamond Fuse fabrics use yarns with unique diamond-shaped filaments. These filaments interlock to create a durable and highly abrasion-resistant fabric. This engineered structure allows Diamond Fuse fabrics to remain very stable during prolonged use and washing.
