The Rab Mythic G Jacket is an ultralight down jacket designed for mountain activities where weight and thermal efficiency are critical. It uses 1000 fill power European down—one of the highest levels available in real commercial products—combined with advanced construction to maximize warmth with minimal weight.
It is a very logical garment for alpinism, fast expeditions, and technical mountaineering, where every gram counts and the warmth-to-weight ratio makes a difference compared to more conventional down jackets.
Real Technical Performance
The combination of 1000FP down with TILT (Thermo Ionic Lining Technology) allows body heat to be reflected inwards, reducing heat loss without the need for additional insulation.
Compared to a traditional down jacket (700–800FP), it offers clearly superior thermal efficiency with a much lower weight. Its 7D Atmos™ fabric and ultralight construction improve compressibility, making it an extremely efficient garment to pack.
The insulation mapping allows heat to be concentrated in key areas, optimizing performance in cold and dry conditions typical of technical mountain activity.
