🏔️ Description

The Rab Women's Microlight Jacket QDB-95 is the new AW26 generation of the hoodless Microlight down jacket, designed to offer lightweight and versatile insulation for most of the year. It combines 113g of 700FP recycled down in size 10 with a lightweight Pertex® Quantum with NetPlus® outer, made from yarn sourced from recycled post-consumer fishing nets.

Its hoodless design makes it especially easy to use as a thermal layer under a waterproof jacket. The zoned construction uses micro-baffles under the arms to reduce bulk and favor mobility, while larger micro-baffles concentrate insulation on the torso, shoulders, and back.

⭐ The Mountain Group Opinion

At Mountain Group, we consider the Microlight Jacket Wmns one of the easiest options to integrate into a layering system. It maintains the Microlight family's balance between warmth, weight, and compressibility, but by doing away with the hood, it is especially comfortable under a shell.

Compared to the Microlight Alpine Hoody Wmns, it is a somewhat simpler and cleaner option for those who do not need a hood. It works very well for hiking, trekking, travel, mountaineering, and daily use, but it is not intended to replace a jacket specifically for intense cold.

⚡ Real Technical Performance

The 700FP recycled down incorporates a Grangers hydrophobic finish to help maintain loft against ambient moisture. Rab specifies 113g of fill in size 10.

The Pertex® Quantum with NetPlus® outer provides wind resistance, lightness, and good compressibility. The zoned construction adapts the size of the baffles to different areas of the body to balance insulation and mobility.

❓ Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between the Women's Microlight Jacket and the Women's Microlight Alpine Hoody?

The Microlight Jacket lacks a hood, making it especially comfortable as a thermal layer under a shell. The Alpine Hoody includes a hood and offers a somewhat more protective approach.

Is it waterproof?

No. Pertex® Quantum provides protection against wind and light precipitation, but it does not replace a waterproof jacket.

How much down does it have?

Rab specifies 113g of 700FP recycled down with a Grangers hydrophobic finish in size 10.

Can it be stored inside its own pocket?

Yes. It includes an integrated system to pack the jacket into one of its pockets and an anchor point.

Is it suitable as a mid-layer?

Yes. Its hoodless design and low volume make it work especially well as a thermal layer under a waterproof jacket.
